How to unblock a site - Free Web Proxies
We post a collection of proxies more or less every day, so sign up for our RSS feed to stay updated!
The easiest way of getting on a site at school is to use a web proxy. You can get onto all blocked sites this way.
Other ways to access a site are by using translator sites , such as Google Translate or Babelfish. Also try Google’s cached version of the site. Unfortunately, you probably won’t be able to to login that way, so it’s still best to use proxies when you must login.
What do proxies do?
Proxies are like a gateway that work between the computer you’re on and the site you want to go to. The proxy accesses the site instead of you, accesses the page, and sends it off to you. So the site you want to access only sees the proxy’s IP. So in effect you are surfing sites in an indirect manner. Internet filters think you are just visiting the proxy, not the destination site.
Another method to unblock a site in school is to make your own proxy. This is more complicated than using someone else’s proxy but it pays off because you can make more of them. How to do this is not in this guide, but you can find a guide here: Unblock a site from school. You can even make money from letting people use it by letting people advertise on it.
